New In: OPI Muppets Collection Nail Polishes

Boyfriend went in for a haircut so naturally I browsed the nail polish collection and picked up two nail polishes from the OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection. I haven't bought a new nail polish since December--believe it or not--and wasn't even really interested in buying anything new, but I have to say the Muppets Collection was absolutely beautiful. I loved every colour and was definitely suckered into purchasing. Chalkboard nails did a blog post on the whole collection here. Which makes me want to buy a couple more.

I picked up "Kermit Me To Speak" which is my favourite nail polish ever! (Well as of now at least) It's duo-chrome and has purples and pinks and it reminds me a lot of  OPI's Stainless Steel which I did a blog post on here, except its less greenish. I've been loving the look of the chrome polish on my nails.

I also picked up "Gaining Mole-Mentum." I don't usually buy glitter polishes, I have about two glitter polishes but I couldn't pass this one up. There's different sizes of glitter and its pink and it's so so so pretty. Wearing it makes me feel so girly.

Photo Diary: Ripley's Aquarium

Yesterday Edward & I celebrated our "when we started dating" anniversary. He was amazing and took a day off to spend the day with me and take me to the aquarium. The aquarium only recently opened up in Toronto, and so I was super excited (being that it was my first time being in an aquarium as well). I wasn't disappointed. It was oddly humbling and absolutely beautiful.

Top right--dragon seahorse. Definitely my favourite. Btw, remember the episode of new girl when Schmidt goes to the aquarium and is desperate for the fish on the bottom left! & The fish on the bottom right was gigantic. It's the biggest fish I've ever seen. It was easily triple the size of me.

We ended the day off with not one but two medium pizzas. It was so good--worth every single calorie.

Crystal-ish Statement Necklace

Happy Sunday Everyone :) I felt like dressing up today for church and wanted to rock this necklace I got a while back. I splurged on the necklace from Zara for a wedding I attended back in October. I love it, it's definitely one of my favourite pieces. I also didn't like the ombre job I did on my hair. It wasn't so apparent in pictures but it wasn't as blended as I wanted it to be and plus my roots were showing so I dyed my whole head red (again) and now I guess its a red ombre.

Nails: Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?

Please excuse the awful cuticles. I personally never push back or cut my cuticles because I just suck at it. I just wanted to share quickly what was on my nails. I didn't want a dark colour being that today is the first day of spring (YAS!), but I still wasn't feeling a bright colour on my nails. I went with this neutral I found in my collection that I didn't even know I had (when my mom left for Vancouver she left with me 90% of her nail polishes). I'm not sure about the colour though, I feel like changing it. In most lights it kinda makes my hand look dead. I guess its just not the nude colour for my skin tone.

New In: Pointed Flats

Shoes - Marshalls - Massimo Baldi Pointed Flats 

An unplanned visit to Marshalls (the greatest place on earth) have led me to these beautiful pointed flats. I've wanted a pair of flats that were classic and elegant that could fit in with a more formal look without the need for heels. I always feel good when I purchase something I know I'll get my use out of and these are the perfect flats that pretty much match-with-almost-everything-and-anything.  I can't wait for the weather to get warmer and for all the snow to melt. Commmmonnn weather! I imagine pairing these shoes with fitted black dress pants and a simple white button up for a classic minimalist look.

Photo Diary: Summer '13 Memories

What feels like an endless winter in Toronto is causing me to eagerly... sooo eagerly, crave the Summer sun. I mean winter's great and all, but after Christmas I just want the weather to turn into Spring already. I'm craving popsicles and iced tea on the porch, long walks in the park, and lying out on the beach. I want my skin to be BROWN like darkkk chocolate brown. Summer air and summer grass. Ouuu summer!

Anyways to placate my summer craving I found old photos from last summer. Excuse me while I reminisce.

Sunday Casual: Coated Pants

I definitely have a love/hate relationship with waxed pants. On one hand they dress up a pretty boring and casual outfit, but on the other they're not comfortable (or at least all the ones I've ever tried on). I know I'm being picky but is it wrong to want to wear leggings or have all pants feel as comfortable as leggings every day? Anywho, I decided to wear them anyways because they sorta dressed up my look. and I'm not gonna lie they make me feel pretty cool. Sorta :)
