Long time no see! I missed Ms.Julia (her blog) so we had a coffee date/photo walk at Evergreen Brickworks, a place she had recommended. She's definitely a bundle of energy and it's never a dull moment with her.

We took a bunch more photos around the property that she will edit, and I can't wait to see what she'll come up with. I edited these using CameraBag and I liked how these three photos, in particular, flowed together.

Studio

I collaborated on this post with my girl Julia (her website: here). Her personality and positivity radiate from her and I loved every moment working with her.

Shooting in a studio was definitely nerve wracking but it's definitely a fun experience.

White Jeans

I have this love and hate relationship with white. I love wearing white, but I hate living in constant fear something terrible with stain them ,or i'll sit on wet paint, or i'll fall into a pool of mud, or a zombie apocalypse will happen. WHO REALLY KNOWS?! I have the worst luck when I wear white.

I decided to muster up my courage and wear white today with these white jeans from American Eagle I picked up over a year ago. I am glad and proud to say they are clean and I have not ruined them!!  Hurrah!! They originally didn't have holes in the knee but I felt like they needed it. I took a pair of scissors and cut two simple lines across the knees. I love them a million times more since.

Pleated Midi Skirt

On my most recent trip to the thrift store I found this black pleated midi skirt, and even though my boyfriend said I looked oddly like a cupcake, I picked it up anyways. I just love how versatile and flowy it is. This outfit saw me through Sunday Morning church service to a lunch date with the boyfriend, and then to a family dinner...all while keeping me cool and comfortable in the process. There is no brand in the skirt and I have a feeling somebody out there in the universe made this skirt themselves. Thank you mystery skirt maker. I sincerely appreciate the donation. lolz.

Black D'orsay Pumps & Jeans

My jeans and top are both thrifted finds and my recently-added-to-the-collection-thankyou-boyfriend black pumps are the Brinkley Ankle Strap shoes from Michael Kors (on sale here).

If you know me then you know I swear by thrift stores. Whether I'm on a budget or just looking for a unique piece, the thrift store is always my number one place to go (plus you get to support some local charities). I mean why not??

Denim Shorts

The thrift store was having a 50% off sale and I found a pair of Ralph Lauren jeans that called out to me and asked to be a pair of shorts. Ah.. Gotta love the thrift store.

Distressed Denim and Blue Heels

I'm guilty of committing some blogger sin because I've worn all these pieces on my blog before. I just love how versatile they are that I can create many different outfits with them. With, of course, the exception of the blue heels which are not so versatile…or super comfy for that matter. Someone remind me again why we wear heels? lol!

Even though these shoes are cobalt blue, I'm surprised I've gotten really good use out of them (contrary to my own belief...I initially wanted the black pair). I like how they elevate a pretty casual and simple outfit on the days I want to look ~fancy~ or add a pop of colour.
